Counter Boring/ Reaming
- Counter-boring enlarges existing holes that have already been either drilled
or cast.
- Push configuration counter bore tools are designed to pilot off of a finished bore (wear pads supported by finished bore diameter). They can also be designed to pilot off of the pre-bore (wear pads supported by the pre-bore diameter) to achieve stringent concentricity requirements.
- Multi-cutter counter bore tools are available for high stock removal.
- Reaming performs the same operations as counter boring tools, but typically use a reduced radial depth and unique geometry.
- Counter-boring covers large ranges of diameters up to
630mm [24.8 inch].
