Bottle Boring
- The bottle boring operation is also known as internal profiling or chamber boring.
- In this operation, the boring tool is expanded and retracted within the workpiece to produce the intended hole-profile inside the workpiece. Hole internal diameter (ID) is bigger within the part than at the entry and exit.
- CNC controls are needed to monitor the drilling process and to dictate the tool profiles.
